For as long as i have enjoyed GW...
And the only thing that pulls me back to this game each time after i take long sebaticals, is the environment graphics & art.
Versus any other comparible game type to this day, i am still most impressed with GW's attention to detail and the gourgeous environments that populate the game.
Honestly the only game that i am see as comparable in terms of environmental graphics, is Crysis. Even then you have to have a monster rig to make them look good, where as GW game engine is ancient by comparison, yet still is enough to keep pulling me back into the game.
Yes, even games like Oblivion do not impress me as much.
Graphics, beautiful GW graphics. yay!
cheers ^_^"

What really makes me go "Woah" is how many people posted here just by reading the topic title, not the actual thread. >_>
Also, pretty much seen it all these days, although it is impressive how much those midget bearded monks can resemble dwarves.

Although I have all of the weapon skins I really want, I still love them as skins, to the point where I like seeing my characters fighting them:
- Storm Bow - Used to be an object of awe for me on other characters, and still is on my Ranger. I like to think (when I'm R/Rt) that Weapon Spells suck the energy out of the bow for their duration, leaving the physical bow underneath with sparkles of energy. Just a bit of lore I made up...
- Icy Dragon Sword - I think it's the best weapon skin anywhere in the game, including tormented weapons and other shiny things. It just looks awesome in any environment, especially dark dungeons or in shadows.

I've played for 33 months, completed all the games on numerous characters, have protector titles on Proph, Factions and Nightfall and have prestige armor on 4 characters (out of 8 PvE).
On the other hand, I have a Ranger and Rit with Brown Dyed armor, some of my characters don't have R1 Lightbringer, and I have, in the past, used Daggers on a Warrior (Warrior's Endurance).
What does that make me? A pronoob?

So, you're in a PuG. Some idiot goes AFK and the party waits for him. You start looking at other people's characters.
What makes you go "woah, that's impressive" from their look alone? What weapons are classed as extremely nice looking, for example, the obsidian edge?
|
I usually pull out a minipet when that happens. Best surprise was a Zhed that some monk pulled out.
Plus the first time i saw a Derv carrying an Undead Scythe, those things look awesome!

Wow. I rarely see that, too.
On second glance, I'm generally impressed by anyone wearing an uncommon set of armor. This usually includes male vabbian necro armor, that fuzzy 15k ranger armor, and obsidian assassin armor. I don't say "eeeh that's ugly" but admire that a person has different taste.

TBH that's quite average. Everyone should have one or two elite sets by now. I myself completed at least one capmaign with 10 PvE toons and 6 out of 10 have elite, including one obsidian. My main toon has a few maxed titles unlike the rest of the other toons, which are pretty average. Also, I think Storm was referring to one's main toon, not all of them (at least I think so).
In any case, what makes me go "whoa" these days are Everlasting Tonics, those are so cool.

I'm moderately confused. Are you suggesting incompetence on the part of the warrior (and luck) or are you awed by their weapon-switching ninja skills?

I had a warrior use that combo on me.... Although I think they used [Earth shaker] instead of [Backbreaker] they didn't do much damage but it was amazing none the less.

Slightly off topic since nothing really makes people "woah" anymore, but why are people that have to go afk deemed as "idiots" when it was somethin possibily more important than a video game?
